- As a small business we understand that everyone wants to have a positive impact on the environment we live in – it allows customers to save money and reduce the amount of packaging used, in turn, reducing the amount of rubbish sent to landfill.
A Simple Idea with a Positive Impact
OUR SUSTAINABILITY PLEDGE
As part our sustainability pledge, we are working on ways to make our small business as environmentally friendly as possible. We want to offer our customers an alternative to the ‘throw away culture’ (where possible) that is usually attributed to Wax Based & Scented products – with the hope that we can make a small change but have a big impact.
Our Re: Use idea is quite simple:
If you have purchased a candle from us and no longer wish to Re: Fill or Re: Scent then why not utilise the frosted glass container in other ways?
- Clean out the container using warm soapy water, remove the label and use a tea light to offer a nice glow to any room
- After cleaning the container why not fill with compost and utilise as a herb container within your kitchen giving you easy access to fresh herbs
- Clean out the frosted glass container and use it as a make up brush holder/tooth brush holder to add a sense of elegance to your bathroom.
Our Re: Cycle idea is quite simple:
All our packaging used to protect our products are fully recyclable – our Kraft Tube packaging is sourced from a sustainable source and comply with FSC® C137370 (Paper from responsible sources). www.fsc.org
Any additional packaging used to protect items is either shredded from deliveries we have received or packaged with fully compositable packing peanuts (Biodegradable Void Fill) which leaves no trace within the environment – therefore creating less waste for landfill, and having a greater impact in the world we live in.
We are constantly looking at our suppliers for other ways to improve our carbon footprint by looking at more effective ways of delivering our items and where possible will choose a carbon neutral method of transport for delivery.
Our Re: Scent idea is quite simple:
- If you have purchased a Candle, Wax Melt or Room Spray from us but want to try a new scent then simply return the container (Glass Jar, Wax Melt Tube or Plastic Bottle) and we will clean, Re:Label and add a new scent for a discounted price.
By Re: Scent it allows our customers to continually try a new fragrance product without having to purchase a brand new item, therefore reducing the amount of packaging used and reducing the amount of rubbish sent to landfill.
Our Re: Fill idea is quite simple:
- If you have purchased a Candle, Wax Melt or Room Spray from us and love it that much, that you want to refill it then simply return the container (Glass Jar, Wax Melt Tube or Plastic Bottle) and we will clean and Re: Fill for a discounted price.
